Daniil Medvedev wins US Open to deny Grand Slam schedule to Novak Djokovic

The world’s richest tennis player has four times the net worth of two of the game’s most successful players, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Former star Ion Tiriac, who performed in the 1960s and 1970s, earned only around £ 200,000 during his career.

Since then, the 1970 Roland Garros men’s doubles champion has made many astute investments and now has a net worth of around £ 1.5 billion.

After retiring from the game, the Romanian made a foray into training and worked with compatriot Ilie Nastase and Boris Becker during his youth.

The 82-year-old owns the ATP Madrid Open and has had a significant impact in helping to develop the tennis market.

Perhaps Tiriac’s most lucrative investment came after the Cold War, when he opened a private bank, the first to do so in Romania.

After achieving huge success with Tiriac Bank, he branched out into retail, insurance and airline industries under the company Tiriac Holdings.

That’s not all, as the former athlete owns a private jet, which he can fly because he’s a qualified pilot.

Tiriac has a giant luxury apartment complex in the Romanian capital Bucharest, which also contains one of the most elite and exclusive country clubs in the country.

He is said to own over 500 cars ranging from classic models of over 100 years ago to the latest modern supercars.

We think he’s the only character n in the world that personally owns two Rolls-Royce Phantom IVs.
